Hindsight BBQ, your friendly neighborhood barbecue joint in Waterbury, CT

Okay WOW, I had always heard amazing things about Hindsight, but our expectations were exceeded when we visited. The fact that one of the state’s best BBQ places is just 10 minutes from my house is insane to me! We did the platter with two meats and two sides, so we did the ribs and brisket. The ribs were tender and had a great bbq sauce, but the brisket was by far the best I’ve ever had!! Fantastic Mac and cheese, Texas twinkies, and additional sides of the flaming tots, cauliflower burnt ends, and coleslaw. The outside area was so beautiful, and I pretty much forgot I was even in Waterbury! My fiancé loved the moonshine based cocktail that he tried, which I thought was pretty unique. The staff was also so nice! Definitely our current top favorite for BBQ, and I can’t wait to come back ASAP!

AMAZING BRISKET. Everything else was delicious too, but the brisket was a stand out for me. We got the platter that serves two and it was more than enough. The restaurant is counter service only. You do need to go inside and order at the counter, but they do bring the food out to your table. There is outdoor seating with picnic tables and umbrellas, and some indoor air conditioned seating as well. Parking was a large lot right next to the outdoor seating, but if that gets full there were a few other lots nearby.

10 OUT OF 10 STARS. A Connecticut GEM that will literally change your life. If you’re reading this and thinking of going, just close the app and get in your car. DON’T SLEEP.

I was looking for some good BBQ. Thought about trying Hindsight BBQ. So glad I did!!! Had a great experience. The food was amazing and the staff was even better!!! Definitely recommend this if you want great food.

Awesome food! Real deal BBQ and good craft beer on draft. Next time I go I’m gonna get the platter - we went for some of the specials this time.

The coolest barbecue place around. I had no idea it existed and I've been back five times. Best food around. But that's not what it's all about. Such a cool vibe and atmosphere and the people in the staff that work there are just awesome. Highly recommend.. for my wife who is a vegetarian they had a great selection for her as well. Very reasonably priced. Will be back soon. Well done Kevin and staff!
